Authenticity is the Best Business Strategy
Success flows more naturally when it’s built on soul-level self-love
I just wrapped up the first season of The Self-Love Club for Entrepreneurs with a Petals and Pumpkins Picnic where we decoupaged pumpkins with beautiful pressed flowers. It was a celebration to honor our journey together and a reminder that when we love ourselves, we bloom in every season.
This group was special for many reasons, but I share these specific points as proof that when you do the thing that feels most true to you, you get the best results.
I’d been creating sacred containers for years before I officially started my business, but this one came to fruition with such synchronicity. The title was true, the need was real, and the women showed up for it. It truly embodied one of the most important pillars of Living Lotus, which is to make women feel less alone. More than that, it was a practice in showing up as we really are, without the masks.
In Human Design, I have a Conscious Mercury (what/how you’re meant to communicate your message with the world) in Gate 10 which is all about being an example of radical self-love. So when I learned that, I wasn’t surprised. I was already communicating so many messages about self-love through my work on and off the mat, so after this discovery I knew I had to double down on it.
I had arrived at a point in my life where I stopped living by the “shoulds” and I wanted to share how I got there with others (especially women in business) in a bigger way.
I created a group I wish I had when I started my own business. A group that doesn’t just talk about business strategy and scaling, but a place to feel supported when everything feels overwhelming. Somewhere you can build your self-worth by rewiring limiting subconscious beliefs.
It truly built my own confidence because there was such a demand for it when I launched it.
This group was for me as much as it was for the women opting into it, but I didn’t know it then. After a really successful kickoff and eight beautiful weeks together, I had to unexpectedly cancel our final gathering and I felt terrible. But now I see why it had to happen that way.
After a 2-month break, we reunited to share so many stories of growth and strength. To witness how these women are caring for themselves in a new way, showing up with more confidence, and doing the things they set out to do less than 4 months ago, amazed me. They are starting new careers, breaking old patterns, trusting themselves more and practicing healthier ways of thinking and being.
And now this group is evolving into an even bigger and more beautiful offer that I am very excited to reveal soon. Until then, stay tuned and leave a comment if you’re interested in learning more about it!
This season of The Self-Love Club has been proof that when you get to know and love yourself on a soul level, you make the best decisions for yourself and can successfully build a life and business on your own terms.
I’ll leave you with a quote from one of my favorite books that captures this beautifully: “Often people attempt to live their lives backwards: they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you really need to do, in order to have what you want” -Margaret Taylor.
